Hi, I've got your compass.
I graduated in Psychology then spent 15 years in the London advertising industry. The energy levels were sky high and it was a complete riot. I managed incredible teams of talented, outrageous, hilarious and often caring people. It was an amazing way to exist in London.
But there was a rough side to the industry. People made rash decisions which had negative effects throughout the company. There were some remarkable characters who could captivate one moment and cull in the next breath. At best, the environment was glamorous, dynamic and exciting, but at worst it was toxic, tense and unforgiving.
I was fascinated by team dynamics and helped establish the internal appraisal system and volunteer program, building alliances with two key London charities. It was really satisfying to see the impact within the office. People began to change the way they communicated with one another. It was a relatively small shift, but a transition which altered the whole corporate environment. This part of the business was really compelling.
However, I was still an introvert existing in a typically extrovert environment, never feeling like I was thriving or in full control. If I’d had a greater awareness of the blocks in my way, it wouldn't have been so much of a struggle.
Coaching would have given me a fuller awareness of the situation. I would have recognized where my discomfort and fear was coming from and would have called it out. I would have changed my thoughts and assumptions going into emotionally charged meetings and I'd have been able to re-frame outcomes that I didn’t like. I would have had clarity around the fact that my colleagues were facing gremlins of their own. I would have felt in control and I would have had ownership of my journey.
Life coaching is not just a notion of being at one with yourself. Coaching is a real process that deals with tangible thoughts, feelings and behaviors and it provides the opportunity to change them.
But first you need to recognize what’s holding you back.
That’s where I come in.
I help people take control of their lives. I will help you identify who you really are, what drives you and how you show up in the world. I will help you to identify your goals, break them down into achievable steps and help you uncover and remove any internal or external blocks that are in your way.
This is your journey. Welcome!
